1.     Visine, It Gets The Red Out

Yup, one way to deal with acne redness is with visine.  Although it’s made for eliminating redness of the eyes, the same principle works with your acne.  Just apply some visine to your acne before bed and it should be much less red come morning.

2.     Garlic

This is another solution to try out.  Garlic is a great anti-bacterial agent which will not only help fight off the bacteria in your pores, but will also work to reduce the swelling thus bringing down the size and visibility of your zits.  Try this in combination with the visine for some great results.

3.     Honey & Asprin

Another solution is to put on dabs of honey on to the problem areas then crush up some asprin and press that onto the honey.  This combo will work well as a spot healer and help get rid of those big red dots overnight.

Now when you get an infected pimple, here are the steps you should go through in order to treat it:

1.     Cleanse The Area Thoroughly

Make sure you cleanse the area, try using a sulfur based soap to do this.

2.     Apply Some Peroxide

Get yourself some hydrogen peroxide and apply that the affected area with a q-tip or cotton ball.

3.    Apply Ice

Next to bring down the swelling, try placing some ice in a ziplock bag and applying that to the pimple.  Alternatively you can use an ice pack.

4.     Apply Antibiotic Ointment

Following this, try placing some antibiotic ointment onto the zit.  Alternatively you could use something like Witch Hazel to fight the bacteria off.

5.     Repeat The Above Process

Keep on doing this above process several times a day and hopefully things will improve.   If they do not, you may need to see your doctor to get some oral antibiotics prescribed to you.

Dealing with an infected pimple is never fun but this is what happens if you pop a pimple without taking the proper precautions.  You can easily make the situation worse by driving the bacteria down deeper into the skin and creating an infection so don’t take popping zits so lightheartedly in the future.

1.     Witch Hazel

One great way to get rid of a white pimple, red pimple just any pimple really is with this all natural herbal remedy.  It’s a natural astringent which will dry up the zit, shrink it down and get rid of any redness.  You can pick up some witch hazel at either a drug mart or a local health food store.

2.     Sulfur Soap

This works great for black heads, clogged pores, white heads and just oily skin in general.  Use it in place of your regular soap and make sure it’s used 2-3 times a day. 

3.     Egg White + Honey

I know this might not sound like something you’d want to put on your face, but it works and works well.  Simply mix an egg white in with a teaspoon of honey and apply that to the face with some cotton.  Leave it on for about ½ an hour before washing it off.

4.     Preparation H

This stuff is not only great for getting rid of hemorrhoids but it makes quick work of zits too.  Just apply it at night and the following morning your zit will be significantly smaller.

4.     Toothpaste

Lastly, you can try toothpaste, it’s an alternative to the preparation H, it will also work to dry out and reduce the size of your zit and in so doing, take away the inflammation and redness.
