1.    Fels-Naptha

One way how to get rid of a pimple is with fels-naptha soap.  It’s a very pure soap with no detergents.  This works well for those who have oily skin.

2.    Molasses

Another treatment is to take in molasses.  Take 2 teaspoons of it with 1 teaspoon of sulphur 1 or 2 times a day to cleanse the blood.  When you start this treatment you may notice more blemishes appearing, but it is temporary, it is only proof that the blood is being cleansed.

3.     Stop Smoking!

If you smoke, this can often times worsen your acne.  I know how hard it can be to quit smoking, but if you can make a concentrated effort to quit this habit, it will have not only an effect on your acne, but you’ll also be much healthier for it.

4.    Wash Off Makeup Before Bed

This is for the ladies, NEVER leave makeup on your face before bed, if you do, be prepared for some new friends when you wake up!  Get into the rhythm of washing your face very night before bed.

1.    Get An Antibacterial Soap

Sometimes the best way how to get rid of pimples is just by prevention.  Using an antibacterial soap will help to kill off acne causing bacteria and limit your outbreaks.  Another tip is to keep your hands off of your face, if you touch your face too much you are helping to transmit bacteria and oils which can get into your pores and stir up trouble.

Pickup some dried basil leaves and brew 2-3 teaspoons of it in a cup of boiling water for 20 minutes.  Once that has cooled down to room temperature, use a cotton ball to soak up the concoction and apply that to the affected area.

3.    Grapefruit Seed Extract

Pick this stuff up at your local health food store.  It works as a disinfectant and anti-bacterial agent.  Just  apply a few drops to a cotton ball and apply that to the affected areas 2-3 times a day.  If you find that you run out of the extract too fast doing that, you can also try diluting it in some water so that it lasts a bit longer.

1.     Milk Of Magnesia

One way of removing acne is with milk of magnesia.  Just grab a cotton ball and wet it with some of the stuff then apply it to your face.  Leave it on for at least 10 minutes before you wash it off.

2.     Drink More Green Tea

It always helps to get more anti-oxidants in your system, it’s good for the skin.  For that reason, try and drink green tea on a regular basis.

3.    Eat Goji Berries

Again, when it comes to anti-oxidants, the goji berry is chalk full of them!  They have many great health benefits, the improve your circulation, immune function and even sexual function.  You can find them dried, they look like red raisins and taste like raisins a bit, try them out.

4.     The Lavender Facial

1.    Salt Water

One way to deal with pimples on face is to use salt water to wash your face.  It’s best to use sea salt water but using regular salt will work in a pinch.  Just pick up some sea salts from your local beauty shop or order them online.  The sea salts will help to kill off existing bacteria on your face and heal existing acne.

1.    Listerine

This home remedy for acne works because Listerine is full of bacteria fighting ingredients, so not only will it kill off the bacteria in your mouth, but also the bacteria on your face.  Simply dab some on to your face before bed and after a couple of days of doing this the acne should be gone.

2.    Egg + Honey

This solution requires an egg white and some honey.  Just mix in a teaspoon of honey with the egg white and stir it until its well mixed.  Next, dip some cotton in this and use it to apply it all over your face.  Leave this on for at least 20 minutes before washing it off with warm water.

3.     Oatmeal + Honey

This is just like the previous solution, except it’s probably going to smell a little better.  Just mix these 2 components into a bowel until you have a nice sticky paste then smear it onto your face until you’ve got a nice mask going on.  Leave that on for about 20-30 minutes and let it do it’s thing.  Wash it off with warm water when you’re done.

1.     Reduce Your Stress

One way to fight acne is by reducing your stress since when you’re under stress the body releases a hormone called cortisol which can often times cause acne to develop.  One thing you can try is to take up either Yoga or Tai Chi, these are both relaxing past times which will help you relieve the days stresses and give you a more mellow outlook on life if you practice it daily.

1.    Burdock

This zit remedy is known for not only treating acne, but all sorts of skin ailments.  Just bring a quart of water to a boil then add 4 teaspoons of this root all cut up.  Reduce the heat and allow this to simmer for about 10 minutes then leave it to steep for a full 2 hours.  Now you’re not going to drink this, but rather use it as a wash for your skin.  Keep it up for a week or two and you’ll notice a difference.

This particular herb can be found not only in tinctures but also in lotions or creams.  Try them all out and see what works best for you.  You can also make an infusion out of this herb much like with the above herbs and wash your face with it.

1.    Orange Peel

One way of getting rid of pimples is with an orange peel believe it or not.  So get yourself an orange, peel it, then chip that peel up.  Chop it up real fine as fine as you can get it, then mash it up into a paste.  Once you’ve got it to the right consistency with some added water, use it as a paste to cover your problem areas.
